We had an amazing time at Monaghan Library, where students took on a special St. Patrick’s Day-themed challenge using Minecraft Education! This hands-on workshop blended coding, engineering, and Irish culture in an interactive and creative way.

Engineering & Creativity in Action
Students used Redstone circuits, command blocks, and coding (block-based and Python) to design St. Patrick’s Day-inspired builds— from giant shamrocks to automated parades and themed mazes. This challenge helped them develop skills in structural and electrical engineering, coding, and problem-solving.

Showcasing Innovation
By the end of the session, students presented their creations, explaining the engineering behind their designs. From glowing Celtic symbols to moving parade floats, their creativity was truly impressive!

Inspiring Future Innovators
Workshops like these make STEM education fun and practical, showing students that engineering and coding are exciting and valuable skills. A huge thanks to Monaghan Library and all participants— we can’t wait for the next challenge!
