Connecting with Teachers at the TY Teacher Conference
As an educator and co-founder of Glow Group, I had the privilege of attending the Transition Year Teacher Professional Network Conference, where I connected with teachers about how we can enrich the TY experience for students. The conference provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase how our interactive STEM workshops are not only educational but also incredibly fun for students.

Making STEM More Accessible with LEGO
At Glow Group, we believe that learning doesn’t have to be limited to traditional classroom methods. By incorporating hands-on activities, we make STEM subjects more accessible and engaging for students. One of the most exciting ways we do this is through the use of LEGO.
Why LEGO? The Perfect Tool for Teaching STEM
LEGO is more than just a toy — it’s a powerful tool for teaching computer science and problem-solving. In our workshops, students work in teams to build and program robots, solve challenges, and explore coding concepts in a way that’s practical and interactive. Using LEGO allows them to see the real-world applications of the skills they’re learning and fosters a deeper understanding of topics like robotics, engineering, and innovation.

Exciting Conversations with TY Coordinators
It was wonderful to have conversations with teachers about the impact these workshops can have on students. The enthusiasm from TY coordinators was inspiring, and I’m excited to continue collaborating with schools to bring our hands-on STEM experiences to more students across the country.
Let’s Enhance the TY Journey Together
We are passionate about enriching the TY curriculum and providing students with the opportunity to develop important skills while having fun. If you’re a TY coordinator or teacher interested in incorporating LEGO into your school’s STEM programme, we’d love to chat and explore how we can support your students’ learning journey!
